The Highlander Neighborhood Monthly was created by Mary Jean Kirtley in December 2006 and is owned by her company, Kirtley Graphics, Inc. The publication serves the residents and businesses of the Highlands area - and surrounding neighborhoods - in Louisville, Kentucky. The newsprint edition, previously mailed monthly to ZIP codes 40204 and 40205, is now distributed free at more than 175 area locations.
Each month, volunteer writers and photographers contribute stories, columns and photos. Residents and neighborhood groups share their news. Area businesses keep us informed of events and openings. And our Expert Advice column features outstanding local professionals.
Readers are invited to share their views, story ideas, original stories, neighborhood news, business news, calendar listings, rants, raves or anything in between. We include as much as space will allow.
